Japanese automaker Honda is working towards bringing a 2019 Honda HR-V into the market to compete against its popular rivals: the Mazda CX-3 and the Nissan Juke. This newer model HR-V is set to prepare the automaker for the forthcoming rivalry in the industry, and is expertly designed with all the attributes it needs to be a number one competitor.
Exterior and Interior Design of the 2019 Honda BR-V
Though technically a small hybrid, the exterior of the 2019 Honda HR-V aims to resemble a Downtown SUV. It is a rather beautiful looking car from the side view, particularly with the design of the rear windows. These rear windows are quite narrow and subtly sweep upwards, housing the rear door handles. The 17-inch alloy wheels, which have five spokes. Also contribute to the overall aesthetics of the vehicle in a positive way.
On the front, the head lights are quite subtle, with a grille that sports a slight gape. Below the grille, the fog lights area touch off-centre on the front bumper. At the rear, there is an aesthetic but rather small spoiler on the roof, and a bumper with just one exhaust pipe held below it. The rear lights are LED operated, comparing similarly to the Citroen C3.
The 2019 Honda HR-V is where the real magic happens. It features high quality leather and other fabrics that are available in choices of grey and black, with extremely professional finishes. Put looks aside, however, and you are still left with a very comfortable and roomy interior. It features bolstered high seats for incredible visibility and state-of-the-art AC controls situated underneath the infotainment unit.
This unit itself has a highly modernized and quality design. Safety and navigation features are also of a high standard, with a touchscreen multimedia system and navigator installed in the center slack. And technologically advanced safety features such as a warning system for veering across lanes, paired with a full rear-view camera. Moving up to the dashboard, the instrument panel is a three-cluster design that is backlit with a vibrant blue color.
Engine Specs and Fuel Economy of the 2019 Honda HR-V
While the Honda HR-V 2019 engine specs and fuel economy are still somewhat up in the air, the 2017 HR-V model housed a 16-valve inline-4 aluminum block and head engine with a port fuel injection. This model provides efficient and high fuel-economy with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder and 141 horsepower. The 2018 model is also very fuel efficient with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). But can also be coupled with a six-speed manual transmission depending on preference. It is highly likely that the 2019 model of the HR-V will also feature such characteristics that contribute to the vehicle’s success in the market. It is also reported that the 2019 Honda HR-V will feature both FWD and AWD driving regimes.
Price and Release Date of the 2019 Honda HR-V
The 2019 Honda HR-V is expected to be available in three different prices for the base, upgrade and premium models. It’s not yet been specified exactly what these prices will be, but if the 2018 model is anything to go off. The base begins at roughly MSRP $21,000, the upgrade at $23,000 and the premium at $26,000. It is imagined that the new 2019 HR-V will be released in early or mid 2019.
