2018 Honda CRF250X – Same Engine but More Power
It’s official that a Honda CRF250X model will continue with the same engine as its previous 2 generations. As a matter of fact, this 249cc mono-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine is one of the primary reasons which took Honda to the top of this Trail-biking segment.
Bore and Stroke continue at 78×52.2 mm while Compression Ratio will get a slight improvement over the previous gen’s 12.9:1 figures. But a noticeable upgrade is in its Keihin All-Electric Ignition system additionally coming with a Throttle Position Sensor for perfect launch and getaway. Inside sources say that the 5-Speed manual transmission will get a wider range of better gear ratios.
Chassis and Suspension Upgrades
Single 240mm discs will continue both up front and back with the former to include a twin-piston caliper. The 27.54-degree chassis caster angle will continue along with the Pro-Link and Showa suspensions. There are speculations for a few other additions which remain unspecified.
