Some call it the SUV version of a Civic, others prefer respecting it with a class of its own. Honda CR-V, the mid-range utility vehicle from Honda sits between the HR-V and the larger Pilot. In terms of styling and features, it resembles the Honda Civic in many ways. Tipsters did not find it easy to get a glimpse into the interior of this new vehicle. However, experts are of the opinion that it is probably borrowing a lot from Civic for this generation as well. The central LCD screen will surely impress the driver and passengers. One of the major quirks of this vehicle is the existence of intricately sewn seats.
Better high-quality leather upholstery is an obvious add-on for the interiors which Honda does not overlook. Add to it an advanced infotainment which comprises of Apple CarPlay and its Android App Systems.
2018 Honda CR-V – Engine and Powertrain
Before talking about its engine, look at the various trim options available for it.
- Base model LX is coupled to a 2.4-litres 4-cylinder engine which can make 184 hp and 180 lb-ft. of torque.
- Touring, EX and EX-L version receive ample complementation from its 4-cylinder turbocharged 1.5-litres engine capable of making 190 hp and 179 lb-ft. of torque.
- A hybrid version of Honda CR-V 2018 will probably make an excess of 212 hp with its plug-in hybrid powertrain.
However, this upcoming 2018 CR-V will probably not come with the Hybrid setup before 2019. Honda plans to introduce a 6-speed Auto transmission to each of its variants.

The 2018 Honda CR-V will probably be available at the tail end of 2017. While the base variant will start at $30,000, higher variants might exceed $45,000.
