Honda CBR1000RR series of superbikes has always been popular amongst its enthusiasts. Its 2017 model stole all the headlines despite the existence of notable names such as Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha. However, insiders do hint of a more muscular and powerful 2018 Honda CBR1000RR this time around!

2018 Honda CBR1000RR – Specifications

As per speculations, this new Honda CBR1000RR 2018 will have a lighter body in comparison to its previous 2017 model.  Plus it could come with a hustling ability which could be difficult for most to match up. Color options include Matte Black Metallic, White, Black and Red.

In words of tipsters- This new-gen 2018 Honda CBR1000RR will consist of a new chassis, suspension and bodywork. In terms of its engine, this Superbike will have a 998 cc liquid-cooled inline-4 engine with DOCH 4-valve drive train. Compression ratio will be somewhere around 13:1 and its bore and stroke specification will stand as 76mmx55mm.

There are hints of a probable Ohlins electronic control suspension, titanium muffler and lightweight lithium ion battery. Performance-wise, this superbike will see some noticeable enhancements.

Honda Electronic Steering Damper (HESD) will allow better maneuverability and help in predicting speedy handling. And tipsters also believe that its EFI setting will improve engine manageability, making way for suave throttle response.

This new gen 2018 CBR1000RR  superbike will also come with anti-lock brakes as standard. However, the bike maker will go a step further with a back-end lift analysis for hard/sudden halts.

In terms of its wheels, this time around this 2018 CRB1000RR will consist of 5 spoke wheels which is lighter and stronger that the 6-spoke in its previous model. Subframes will be lighter and a thin wall titanium fuel tank which is 4.5 pounds lighter will come as other upgrades in this speed demon.

Price expectation of this new Honda CBR1000RR is still not known as of now. But tipsters believe it could cost somewhere around $15,000.
