2018 Acura TLX Specs, Price

The genre of luxury sedans has always been enticing to car enthusiasts. This trend began in the 1980’s when Honda came up with a pair of luxuriously sporty models that took the automobile world by storm. Not much change has seeped into Honda’s concept of luxury and not much change has weaved their way into the human minds. This is what is more predominantly evident in Honda’s upcoming luxury sedan which is named as the 2018 Acura TLX.

2018 Acura TLX – Exterior Body Styles and Interior Changes

Well, to put it simply, this vehicle stands a class apart. It sports a grille redesign with chrome inserts that houses the Acura logo at its centre. The headlamps are standard in the form of square LEDs that come in sets of four for each side.

A pair of fog lamps houses themselves on either side of the large front bumper; receives precise complementation from its potentially large air intake acquiring a dominating stature. The overall gait of Acura TLX 2018 is more on the aggressive side. It is low-flung, holds to the ground and reflects a sporty edge every time you have a glimpse of it.

The rear of this car is quite similar to other Acuras except for its LED tail lamps which are a new addition. For the legs, the 2018 TLX borrows the same 18-inch alloy wheels from the ILX and fits them with all weather and all-season tires.

How are the interiors?

The Acura TLX 2018 is looking go all out black in terms of its interiors. Leather upholstery will be standard in all versions; this vehicle looks to retain its traditional feel with a couple of analogue instrument clusters. A 7 inch Led touch screen will adorn the front of this dish that will also be responsible for all in-house control.

Speaking in terms of seating aesthetics, legroom is ample in both rows while an ambient lighting sets the shade as per your mood.

Is safety up to the mark?

The Acura TLX 2018 ensures complete safety of its passengers. Forward collision warning, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control ensure a safe ride on the highway. While cross traffic monitoring system and rear cameras help to manoeuvre in city conditions!

2018 Acura TLX – Under the hood

The 2018 Acura TLX has gone with a front wheel drive option even for its 2018 model. Engine configurations remain the same as well; a 2.4-liter l-4 engine will produce 206 hp. Torque values will thrive near the 190 lb-ft mark and are enough for those sudden corner accelerations.

The higher trims, however, are likely to receive a 3.5-liter V6 under their hood. The 290 hp is the speculative power value with 270 lb-ft emerging to be its torque figures. This higher model comes to the scene keeping in mind public interests.

Note: In the last couple of years more than 60% of vehicle owners have opted for a V6 engine irrespective of the car. Honda looks to make use of these statistics.
